| What To Bring To Our License To Carry Handgun Class- Your Texas Drivers License (DL) or State ID. Note: Military Personnel bring DL and Military ID.
- A Handgun either a Semi-Automatic or Revolver (can be rented at the gun range for $10.00) that is of a .22 Caliber or higher for the shooting proficiency test. (Note: If as of September 1st, 2013 you can qualify with a semi-automatic or a non-semi-automatic and be licensed to carry concealed any type of legal handgun). You don’t have to qualify with the pistol you will carry. Remember, small pistols kick more.
- A box of 50 rounds of factory ammunition (can be purchased at the gun range). No reloads please. If you think you will have problems shooting bring and extra 50 rounds of ammo. 99.5% of my students pass the first time.
- A hat with a bill (baseball cap or similar)
- Gun range provides Eye Protection, but you may bring your own, preferably with side shields – Regular glasses and sunglasses are acceptable.
- Gun range provides Hearing Protection, but you may bring your own – Ear plugs or ear muffs.
- NO shorts
- NO flip flops or sandals. Close toed shoes are best. Empty brass can be hot.
